A new intake of Bricklaying Apprentices for 2018/19

Swift are delighted to welcome onboard the new intake of Bricklaying Apprentices for 2018/19. These have all been recruited directly by Swift with support from various colleges including Havering, Richmond, Barking & Dagenham, Barnet & Southgate, College of North East London and Brooklands.

We look forward to supporting them throughout their apprenticeship and wish them well in their career with Swift”

Perforated Brickwork – UCLH 5

Off-site assembled perforated brickwork for UCLH 5.  Swift Brickwork Contractors Limited are building into Techrete panels which are then driven 200 miles to site in London. The brickwork panels not only withstand the vehicle journey but also withstand a 1.6kN wind loading.   Swift Brickwork Contractors Limited has developed this process using cutting edge construction adhesive mortars and installation techniques not seen before in the UK.
The result is no scaffold and a brick facade installed on site in a matter of days.

Ceramic City Bench – Maria Gasparian

This bench is one of 10 new benches across the City of London – 5 in Cheapside and 5 in the Eastern cluster – and the result of a design competition organised by the London Festival of Architecture, the city of London Corporation and Cheapside Business alliance in 2018.

They Showcase London’s brilliant emerging architects and designers, and are a public gift that helps the City remain an exceptional place to live, work and visit.
