The design of the new buildings pick up on Smithfield’s traditional warehouses and classic stone-and-brick façades. A revived Church garden will provide a tranquil green setting, while other areas will be enlivened by the new offices, cafés and restaurants.

The Project

The scheme comprises 236 high quality apartments across 10 buildings, two commercial offices of 23,500 sq ft and 213,000 sq ft, as well as 20,500 sq ft of complementary A3 retail use.

One Bartholomew Close, the new Grade A office building of 213,000 sq ft, is under construction with completion due Q3 2018, and is eminently positioned a short walk away from Farringdon East Crossrail Station, due to be completed in 2018 and set to become Britain’s best connected interchange.

The first phase of 144 apartments, 23,500 sq ft of offices and 8,750 sq ft of retail will be completed by mid-2017 and the second phase of residential and retail in 2019.
